Maybe, have a look at the HTML errors?

I don't think it helps. What I think has happened is that something's changed and now html tags are not parsed properly.

Whatever changed, it's better to try and make the wikitext more robust. Have you tried seeing what is the output of Special:ExpandTemplates for that page?

Thanks for the tip. I found out that it does no longer accept the syntax:

<tr><td>test</td></tr>
|}

result:

test

Do you know why is that? Is it because of some new policy I am not aware of or could it be just some new bug?

I am asking this so as to know whether to change it to pure wikitext or not.

Update:

It seems it was way more easier to change it to pure html instead. Now it works fine again!!!

But my question still stands if someone knows the answer.
