Move the error messages below the textbox?

Is there a reason why the error messages are displayed above the textbox, making the textbox annoyingly bob up and down whenever I'm too slow typing out variables or correcting errors. This has been bugging me for a long time and I find it strange that this hasn't been fixed by now.

It is the way it was designed, but I don't have any more insight into that. If you want you can file a task in Phabricator to change it and a designer may comment there.
