{{msg-fud|Page timings|notext=yes}} should use PLURAL

This message should use PLURAL.

There's no PLURAL support in FUDforum, unfortunately. Also moving to the FUDforum talk page.

Many messages in FUDforum contain {PLURAL:. So I conclude that there is supposed to be some form of plural support.

EugeneZelenko13:54, 9 June 2010

This value will never be 1. So, plural support doesn't make sense (most languages). If you disagree, can simply use the plural function in your translation.

It is not true for Slavic languages (on there are many of them). So please don't assume that there is only 1/many cases around. Original message should be fixed.

Documentation was updated. See FUDforum:Page_timings/qqq.

Have corrected documentation page to /qqq. The recommendation above is that only the translations that need to use PLURAL use it. Is this going to cause problems for the message syntax checking routines? Are these routines going to keep marking messages using PLURAL with !!FUZZY!!?

Lloffiwr11:50, 11 June 2010

Isn't much simpler solution just to add PLURAL for all languages regardless of which argument passed to language?

EugeneZelenko14:03, 11 June 2010

Not sure. If it does we can always commit the plural message on the FUDforum side.

Frank14:07, 11 June 2010

Best add the "1" case with a plural in the source language to indicate translators can/should use it.
