Which term including "sandbox" on translatewiki.net cause big trouble in jawiki UI ? My translation into サンドボックス was reverted.

My reverted translation has caused quite a trouble among jawiki users; they had claimed that their sandoxes had been deleted or disappeared without any prior notice. To date, measures are taken and claiming editors are happy to see the trouble is solved. I felt discouraged to find a note reporting the situation on my userpage, however, I find it a great chance to learn something actually.
My question: Is there anything left to solve the problem? Is there any FAQ which suggest me to consider before translating any essential strings like in this case? How can I tell some translation sources are closely related to UI on, say, jawiki?

• History: The actual problem on jawiki seems to be solved (not sure). There were claims at two pages, and the process how they found the way around is documented.

I see, and yes, I’ve been avoiding to change message to prevent broken links. So technically when jawiki users find inconvenient change in UI caused by translation.net, they will discuss and repeat the measure they applied this time. Am I right? In that case, is anybody aware of similar cases in other languages? Will it involve coordinating tasks among projects involved to upgrade the situation, or a Community Wishlist item for 2018?
