securepoll - repeating messages
These two messages have a rather long identical string that could be made into a separate message to avoid copying:
- Securepoll-dump-no-urandom ("Cannot open /dev/urandom.
To maintain voter privacy, encrypted election records are only publically available when they can be shuffled with a secure random number stream.")
- Securepoll-urandom-not-supported ("This server does not support cryptographic random number generation.
To maintain voter privacy, encrypted election records are only publically available when they can be shuffled with a secure random number stream.")
This is actually fine as it is.
May i ask why? Because it already caused inconsistent translation at least in two languages.
Combining multiple sentences into a paragraph is considered bad i18n practice.
My translations are not identical. I admit, this is due to historic reasons: translations were made independent of each other in two different years. Having them identical is not compelling, they say basically the same with different words and word orders.
Otherwise, I agree, in this particular instance, had I been the programmer, I had choosen to make it with 3 messages, though it's a matter of taste, imho.
