Hello, and please excuse the English. My name is Erica and I am a community liaison for the visual editor at the Wikimedia Foundation.

I'm contacting you today as you are proficient in Serbo-Croatian, to ask you some time-sensitive help with translations related to the visual editor, here and at Mediawiki.org. I'm therefore providing this little table, hoping it can make the work easier for you, and please do not hesitate to contact me immediately if you need any further information.

I'd like to thank you in advance for what you will do and for the invaluable support you will provide to the Serbo-Croatian wikimedian community! (Please feel free to forward this message to other community members who may be equally interested or able to contribute.) Best,

Hello Erica. While I am proficient in the language, I am not the one translating it, therefore I do not know their translation conventions, i.e. which terms they use for what. I'll need to study that quite extensively in order to help. If, on the other hand, I am given free rein to fo it from scratch, and have community support, then I shall certainly oblige.

Hi! (Not sure why we're discussing this on another person's talk page, hope s/he won't mind :) Generally speaking, as an Italian user, I'd rather have a not-so-good Italian translation of something than seeing the English equivalent. Does what you say apply to translations as a whole? In some cases, like the user manual, translation units are very short and basic: maybe there's something there that you could actually feel confident with translating? Even the tiniest contrib is appreciated,
