It is relying on django, and if you'd like to have that part localised as well you can take a look at the formats.py of other locales for django and submit a pull request to the django project. The buryad dates are year-month-day sequence. a month should be in Genitive in this sequence. 2012 оной 1 һарын 21 - January 21, 2012 1939 оной 9 һарын 1 - September 1, 1939 Two words оной and һарын are compulsory. Numbers are subjects of change according to the actual date.

I'm glad a humble message was enouraging. I see you submitted some improvements and new translations. I do not have the capacity to take of the date formatting for django though, it takes quite some effort to get it through correctly.
