толышә зывон-tolışə zıvon
Thread:User_talk:Siebrand/Толышә_зывон asks the opposite, a consensus needs to be found first.
Dear Admins, I would like to inform you that, our Talysh Wiki Project's name was registered by mistake. It was registered as "толышә зывон". Taking into considiration the fact that, we write articles using latin script, the registration name of the Talysh Wikipedia should be written using Latin Script as well. We don't know to whom to address with this appeal. We ask kindly, to take this into consideration and help us. Thank you very much for your attention! Dear Admins, I want to draw your attention to one thing as well. In the phrase "толышә зывон" зывон means language. As you know, nowhere in Wikipedia this is used. I mean, English Wiki is written English Wiki, not English language Wiki. So, Talysh Wiki should be registered as "Tolyši" in Latin script instead of "толышә зывон", which was used by mistake. All Talysh Wiki contributors agree with this. We hope for your assistance in this very important issue for us. Thank you very much for your attention! Hi. How is it possible to change толышә зывон to tolışə zıvon? Thanks.
I have no idea. Please provide more details...
Talysh people mainly live in Azerbaijan and in Northern part of Iran. In Azerbaijan all Talysh people use latin alphabet. Most people even cannot read cyrillic alphabet in which the project is registered as "толышә зывон" by mistake. In Iran, they also use latin script as well as arabic script. But Talysh people, who live in Azerbaijan cannot read arabic script at all. So, latin script would be very convenient for all. So "толышә зывон" should be changed to "Tolyši"
That's the autonym of the Talysh language. Both things say the same, first in Cyrillic, then in Latin. I don't know which alphabet is used more. AFAIK, the Arabic alphabet is used, too. Maybe all three need to be supported. We need expert opinion about this.
