Hi, you requested that your user page be deleted with the reason "to just use default meta user page.". Translatewiki.net is an independent wiki that doesn't run on Wikimedia infrastructure, so the global user page from Meta would not be shown here. The only thing that would happen if I delete your userpage is that it turns into a red link. Are you sure you'd want to do that?

I see now. Never mind, then. Thanks for the tip!

Note: blanking or deleting your user page does not make your "global user" on Wikimedia MetaWiki visible here (unlike what you think according to your blanking edit comment). There's no direct connection and import between this wiki and Wikimedia, as there's no unified login between them (user accounts are managed separately, user names used here may be unrelated to those used in Wikimedia, so their pages are not automatically interconnected). If you need to direct people to your home user page in some Wikimedia wiki, this can only be done explicitly in your user page here (and you can also link your user page on your home Wikimedia wiki to the page on this site: Wikimedia wikis do not do that by default for the same reason: user account managements are independantly, just like their private data and authentification credentials).

This means that with a blank or deleted page here, no one on translatewiki.net will contact you on any Wikimedia wikis. They will only be able to contact you here on this public talk page, or by sending a private email via this wiki to your private mailbox (if emails to you are not blocked in your local preferences). As well they will not know in which language to talk to you (with an empty user page here, you don't have any "babelbox") and will probably first talk with you in English only (even if in the first time you asserted to have native knowledge of Hiligaynon), so less people in your country and sharing the same language as you will reach you, or they may think that you absolutely don't know Hiligaynon (and may then decide to revert your changes for any disagreement, if they can't talk/write to you in English but only understand English for basic reading). At least you should then restore your "babelbox".

I understood it the first time: that Translatewiki is a project that's independent from Wikimedia. I simply thought that blanking was the next best option; apparently not, given what you had explained. I'll be recreating the babelbox, then. Thanks, too, for this tip.
