Acehnese language

Acehnese language

Why TranslateWiki still use name Achinese? In English Wikipedia, it is Acehnese. And autonym for Acehnese language is Bahsa Acèh. Thanks.

This is referring to Ace. I don't know how it came about that Achinese was the English name entered for Ace. But the name on CLDR is also Achinese. Perhaps the best place to request a change is on CLDR. You may need to provide support for Acehnese instead of Achinese (links to dictionaries or contributions from other Bahsa Acèh speakers).

If 'Bahsa' means 'language', do you include 'Bahsa' as the first element for all language names?

Acehnese linguist from Australia, Mark Durie in his dissertation on Acehnese grammar used word Acehnese instead of Achinese. Please see: http://www.acehbooks.org/pdf/ACEH_03107.pdf

Yes, 'bahsa' means 'language' and it should be put as the first element for all language names.

Autonym: Given that ace doesn't have a locale yet on CLDR, could someone change the autonym for ace to "Bahsa Acèh" here on translatewiki.net?
