PLURAL in portuguese (pt) - Update on CLDR Ticket

Bringing this up again just to keep everyone here in the loop. The problem with plural in Portuguese (pt) was corrected in MediaWiki by Siebrand early in November 2009 (see issue at bottom of this page) and is now being tracked as CLDR Ticket #2514.

Great. Now the best we can do just wait?

Not sure how speedily these things are handled in CLDR. We're 4 days away from the end of the data submission cycle for Unicode 1.8 which will be out on 10 March. So I doubt that the issue will be corrected in 1.8. So yes, wait but sitting down :)

Update: Ticket was assigned today, and the change milestoned for Unicode 1.8.

Bump. CLDR 1.8.0 was published on 17 Mar 2010. CLDR Ticket #2514 was included and is now closed. Do we need to remove Siebrand's fix on this side?

We're not using the CLDR plural definitions directly, so nothing to be fixed in MediaWiki, as it already works as expected and defined in the CLDR ticket.
