Ya puedes empezar a traducir.

También deberías visitar el portal de tu idioma, el enlace está en la barra lateral. Otras páginas útiles están enlazadas en el menú junto a este mensaje.

Tus traducciones se transfieren al producto estándar cada pocos días o cada pocas semanas, dependiendo del producto. Ten en cuenta que puede tomar más tiempo antes de que veas tu traducción en el producto real.

Pueden transcurrir solo unos pocos días antes de que aparezcan en Wikipedia, pero podrían pasar algunos meses entre cada versión nueva de FreeCol.

Hola Dferg, muchas gracias por ayudarnos. Ya tienes derechos de traductor. Por favor no olvides a eligir la lengua española en tus preferencias, luego puedes visitar special:translate, allí encuentras los enlaces a los mensajes todavía no traducidas. Podrías empezar con "most used" (si ya no quedan ningunas allí podrías eligir extensiones usadas por wikimedia). También hay special:magic, es para traducir cosas especiales como los nombres de los temas, las palabras mágicas, las paginas especiales y los nombres de espacio (solamente deberías cambiar esto con consentimiento de la comunidad)

Es importante no traducir variables como {{SITENAME}} o nombres de espacio como [[User: .. porque las traducciones deben funcionar también en proyectos con distintos idiomas.

Hola Dferg, significa que el mensaje original ha cambiado un poco y entonces falta este cambio a la traducción. Puedes comparar la traducción con el mensaje original y añadir lo que falta :) (y quitar fuzzy :o) )

My goal is "not obviously in English when people see this", and I'm sure what you did exceeds my goal.

Página de usuario

Hola, veo que tu página de usuario es larga, digo, tu descripción/página de usuario en lo que sabes, tienes y haces no es largo en sí, es la visualización de la página Special:TranslationStats/language=es,es-formal lo que aparezca un gran espacio debajo de tu página que tienes ahí, he previsualizado como quedaría tu página de usuario sin esa plantilla y ví que ese gran espacio innecesario donde no hay nada que está debajo en tu página de usuario y también debajo de donde se muestra "SPI", "Powered by MediaWiki" y "Semantic MediaWiki" desaparece, pero el problema es que, no es un espacio de nombres editable como si fuera cualquier espacio de nombres editable, es una página especial, por lo que incluso si se puede modificar, no creo que sea facil hacerlo, ¿se puede arreglar eso? gracias No se (talk) 15:21, 15 April 2023 (UTC)

Hello @Amire80: Yes. As I mention in gerrit patch 905659, I will be first updating the outdated grouppage links in the English source so they point to where the information about those groups do exist. Next I planned to set all of these global grouppage keys as ignored in the translatewiki.net repo and update the qqq.json docs here to reflect that (using {{ignored}}). And afterwards, I planned to remove these grouppage "translated" links from WikimediaMessages (except en.json and qqq.json) so these links start pointing again to where they should. See this list for the actual numbers. Shall we delete these from translatewiki.net too? I've been removing some yesterday which were clearly broken links, but I don't want to go further beyond that without approval. Best regards, —MarcoAurelio (talk) 09:20, 5 April 2023 (UTC)

Yes, delete. Not super-urgent, but should be done some day.

I'm not aware of an existing bot for doing it. I thought about making one a few times, but never got around to it. The closest thing I can think of is a user script I made for quick deletion of optional messages that are identical to English from Special:Translations. Feel free to copy it, enhance it, convert it into a conveniently-reusable gadget, etc. Amir E. Aharoni (talk) 10:10, 11 May 2023 (UTC)
