Sysop Access

Hi, I recently created a vote page for tanslation of a specific word, and I would like have access to lock this discussion and any further requests.

Thanks but I would like have sysop access, per Project:Administrators I can request it here, I needed to put a comment which says the discussion is closed before locking it, and it's required for further discussions.

The community will discuss about your request. Please be patient.

We don't use protection as a tool to freeze consensus, I don't see a need for sysop permissions here. Feel free to reapply when you need the tool for some established practice.

I don't see any consensus between the admins here. We specially protect vote page to avoid any furthur disccution becuase it's done. Can I wait for the community at least?
