Hello, I would like to get translator rights for the Gothic wikipedia. It was told that Gothic is not supported, but it is an official wikipedia and still on the list of the supported languages. I already ask for rights, but they told me, that it doesn't work. So, I either ask to reopen the translation function or/and give me the translator rights, thank you very much and filu þagkos!

You already have translator rights for any language which is supported by translatewiki.net.

Well okay, good so far. But gothic isn't as many people told me not supported anymore albeit it is still an official language and on the list for supported languages. Some others tell me on the other hand that translation should work. I don't know where to look, whether it is really supported or not, there must be some information about that.

Hoi, We have had problems with translators for Gothic in the past. Gothic is written in its script and we do not accept that it is used with a Latin script. As a conseqeunce we do no longer export Gothic. Thanks,

But is there no possibility for a second chance? I totally think, too, Gothic has to be written in Gothic letters. The old translators aren't active at the Gothic Wikipedia anymore or here for Gothic translations. I would really like to go on translating, and of course with Gothic letters, everything else would be not right. I am really seriously into this and I think, since the Gothic wikipedia is still an official one, we should get that second chance. Please jah Bidja.

Hello, sorry, but why am I not getting an answer? I really want to lead the Gothic wikipedia out of a stub. But that function is important for that and you are not opening it again. I really beg you!

I have been using a program I wrote that automaticall converts latin text to gothic text. The program is on my Gothic Wikipedia user page namespace.

Does this mean that you can fix all translations (if any) incorrectly in Latin script? You could export them and send the fixed translations by email. Also, can your script be transformed in a Narayam input method?

As I already said, the easiest way would be to open the translation function again... I would love to change all latin script, because I hate it too...

Wow, I see. Now it is official that Gothic has been closed for translations... But why? When it would be opened the things could be fixed, I already urged that I want to fix all the problems, but nothing happened. So, I don't get the problem. Gothic Wikipedia has little traffic because of the bad translation, it is a mixture of English, gothic script and latin script which really isn't supportive or motivating. The gothic mailing list at yahoo has 455 members, many of them are able to contribute to wikipedia but said that one of the reasons is the bad condition of localisation. On the wikipedia we also have a dictionary project. But we really need the localisation function! I don't think that it is a thing that it would take too many ressources or so. And please not another debate on dead languages, we have also Latin and Old Greek wikipedia. It just gets not opened to get fixed with the reason that it doesn't get fixed. That sounds strange, doesn't it?...
