About [[iNaturalist:Uploader.tooltips.add/en]]

I added documentation for this string:

"This is the tooltip of the button "Add" in the observation uploader form."

It also helps looking at the name of the variable - in this case "Uploader.tooltips.add" - it gives a clue.

@Exonie: Well, what exactly does the word observation mean? I understand this is a tooltip, but what is the purpose of that observation uploader form? Do you add, where you saw an organism in nature? Or do you add some interesting fact found in an literature? Or do you upload some data file with some measurement? Or uploading some photos of the organism? The word "observation" has got in Czech more different meanings and all fit great into strings there, but mean something completely different, therefore I still don't know, how to translate this. Could you help me?

Before re-asking, have you read the "observation" on Wiktionary? It says "The act of observing, and the fact of being observed." as first meaning.

And the second meaning underneath is the act of noting or recording. Which one then? Anybody?

Well, if you can't grasp the meaning from the given context, especially the given site iNaturalist (observing nature!), then you must not translate this project. There're far more ambiguous strings to rant about than this one, the system is not perfect indeed - welcome to the jungle of FOSS.

What if this string is not about observing nature, but about writing some notes? I understand, what is more logical there, but the description still says nothing about, nobody there gave me a clue (just some hints and allusions) and I'd like to be accurate. I think I'll just walk through iNaturalist, find the form and take a look. I understand I could translate another ones, but my language is spoken by not so many people, there are cca two or three regular translators (and some irregular, once-a-month), and that's why I'd like to translate these too (because there are too many strings containing the word "observation", some translated in the first meaning, some in the second meaning, some untranslated, that's why I ask).

I'm not sure, but I think the meaning of "observation" on iNaturalist messages is researching animals, plants, nature, etc....

This is only my assumption, based on other iNaturalist messages and the iNaturalist Wikipedia article. Perhaps pozorování is the appropriate Czech word in this case? (I do not know Czech at all, this word is only a guess based on Google Translate.)

P.S. It's annoying me as well that iNaturalist messages don't have any useful descriptions.

By the way, you seem to be very lucky, because the Czech Wikipedia also has an article about iNaturalist. It might be useful for understanding some strings.

I think you are right. It looks like "pozorování" will be correct one. I think I'll correct wrong translations to this option and translate untranslated strings to this option as well. If this is not correct, It will be unified at least and could be easier to fix in the future. Does anybody know, how to list translations, which does not contain "pozorování", but original english version contains "observation(s)"?
