Request Language : Occitan Nissart

Request Language : Occitan Nissart

I would like to translate to Nissart [1] (or Niçard). It is a dialect of Occitan spoken in Nice (France) [2]. I would like to use the Mistralian orthography which is different from the Classical orthography used in Occitan translation.

  • lang code: oc-ni (or oc-ni-mis for Mistralian orthography)
  • Localized names:
    • English : Either "Nissart" or "Occitan (Nissart)" or "Occitan (Nissart Mistralian)
    • Native : Either "Nissart" or "Occitan (Nissart)" or "Occitan (Nissart Mistralenc)
  • LTR
  • Latin Alphabet
  • It should fall back to French

If there is no ISO 639-3 code, we can't enable the language.

variant (like be-tarask, nds-nl, ...)?

be-tarask and nds-NL are valid language tags. Region NI would mean Nicaragua and "mis" is not a valid variant: https://www.iana.org/assignments/language-subtag-registry/language-subtag-registry

We won't enable languages without proper language tags.
