Thanks!

I checked these with the dictionary at https://openresearch-repository.anu.edu.au/handle/1885/145170 , and I have a few questions and comments:

  • "Pāki" - I couldn't find this word with a macron on the letter "a" in the dictionary. I found "paki", which is "Photo, gravure, dessin, image", and it may be OK as "media", but are you sure that it should be written with ā?
  • Kaiga - The dictionary translates this as "Parenté, famille, parent". In the current translations, I also see "kita". For example, you translated "User page" as "Pāsina a kita" and "User contributions" as "Gaue tokoni a kita". "Kita" is "1. Rechute, recidive. 2. Je, moi (forme humble)." Are you sure that "Kaiga" or "Kita" are good? If you are sure, it's OK, but I wanted to verify.
  • You translate MediaWiki as "PākiWiki". The word "media" here must not be translated, because "MediaWiki" is a name. It can be adapted to your language's orthography; for example, if you don't use the letter "d" in your language, you can replace it with another letter according to your spelling rules. So should it be written as "MediaWiki", or should it be changed?
  • Just a comment: "Kupesi" is a great translation!
  • I couldn't find what "nūmelo" and "sava" mean. I'm not saying they are wrong, but I was just curious :)

If you are sure that all of these are correct, I will just submit them. The reason I'm doing extra verification is that these are not usual translations, and changing them later can be a bit difficult if they need to be fixed.

Thanks again for your contribution!

Thank you Amir for your feedback.

That version of Karl Rensch's dictionary is outdated so some of the words are written differently now.

- pāki is correct and it is today used by the local TV for anything that is media-related (photos, videos, paintings). It means "representation".

- kaiga: I had a hard time finding a correct translation for "user" or "utilisateur" so that's why I had 2 translations. If the "user" is any person but me, we use "kaiga". If the "user" is me, we say "kita".It might be better to just keep "kaiga" for "user" on all pages as the "user" might not necessarily look at his own page on Wikipedia.

-MediaWiki: my bad. Please use the original term.

-Nūmelo Sava: sorry, my own creation based on the English definition. It is probably best to keep the original term. Nūmelo referred to Coding and Sava to Java island (!) as in Javascript. Please use the original instead.

Thanks
