I'm interested in safety, security, emergency preparedness and disaster respose, privacy, tolerance, freedom of speech and/or religion, open software, research methods, open scientific/scholarly publishing, active citicenship and nurturing parenting - just to name a few. :-) I vote green.

I was born in 1964 and became functionally trilingual during my childgood. I've been writing guides, proofreading, editing and translating as a part of my work since 1998, and have my own company since 2007. I joined TranslateWiki on 19th August 2011.

Thanks to Nike who fixed the map, you now can see where that suburb of Helsinki, where I live, is. To be exact, where the for me most important public building (our local library) is. The café in the library building ain't half bad either.
