Плагін, додаток, ваша версія - втулок - не знайшов такого слова у словнику http://lcorp.ulif.org.ua/dictua/ . Editor.josm.description ("JOSM (via remote-control plugin)") -(JOSM (через плагін дистанційного керування))?

plugin = втулок, додаток, доповнення, модуль
Прошу повернути слово «втулок» замість іншомовного «плагін»
Я не проти повернути або щоб ви повернили. Але що повертати? Може краще модуль або додаток або доповнення? Втулка - знаю, багато втулок - знаю. Один втулок - не знаю:) Від втулити?
Написав модуль. Ваш варіант?
Втулок - саме від втуляти тут ви вірно підмітили. Втулка є калькою з російської та переважно використовується в машинобудуванні.
Про «втулок» було обговорення на Linux.org.ua але на жаль я зараз не можу пригадати в якій гілці.
Я притримуюсь такої точки зору, що: plugin - втулок, module - модуль, adding - додаток, це доповнення до документів, що може містити якісь додаткові матеріали, про які не зовсім коректно зазначати в основному документі.
В OpenStreetMap я всюди використовував саме «втулок», для JOSM тільки це слово. Також, я його використовую у перекладанні описів пакунків Debian (http://ddtp.debian.net).
PS Поки ми переконували один одного ця фраза змінилась :)
Добре. Я повернув втулок. Але вважаю слово "втулок" мало-поширеним і важкозрозумілим. Деколи одному слову в одній мові відповідають декілька варіантів перекладів. Можливо, треба ще думати і шукати більш вдалий відповідник.
