Please mass-delete vandalism by [[User:Esketti]]

Deletion has no effect on translations: right now, removing those translations would require over 160 commits to as many MediaWiki repositories. It's a pity we were not warned when this was found out on June 2, we could have still done something.

You could file a feature request asking for deletions on the wiki to be exported to the repository as well and explaining why it's important. I'm told it would take a day of work + something, which is definitely less than the time required to revert Esketti. Otherwise, there is the option of re-translating, which may take less time in this case but of course doesn't help for future ones.

Well, I've started the work of manually updating all those translations, but it's very tedious. Is there a better way of doing this rather than clicking on every one of the thousands of links at Special:Contributions/Esketti?

Would it be possible for a bot to automatically fuzzy all the translations where Esketti is the last contributor? At least that way they would be flagged up for revision using the normal interface.

I think I can write a script for that in ten minutes.

or 40.

Nike (talk)18:18, 7 August 2015

In case it was unclear, they have been fuzzied.

Nike (talk)14:25, 12 August 2015

I don't think so. Going through Special:Contributions/Esketti, I still find well over 1000 entries where this user is the last or only contributor. The ones where he isn't are the ones that have already been fixed manually, by Siebrand or by me.

McDutchie (talk)20:51, 12 August 2015

And can you find any which is not fuzzy? Nowadays fuzzy status is stored in the database, if Nike says he fuzzied then he fuzzied.

I stand corrected. Been out of the loop too long, I guess; I was looking for the !!FUZZY!! tag when clicking on edit.
