Vandalism
Hello Admire, I've noticed that User:SaldırganSincap has made a lot of meaningless changes in Turkish translations. They changed the correct Turkish translations into broken ones. For example, the old version of Special:Diff/10700999 was grammatically and meaningly correct; however, the user vandalized it and made a misunderstood sentence. Due to the user having made so many edits, I'm not able to reverse all of them. Can you help? Thanks

Given the number of changes, and the fact they do not seem to be random but show some coherence in grammar and orthography (not many radical change of radicals or word order, but many changes in deflections/terminations), I suspect that this user expected to translate into another Turkic language or a regional dialect, that he still calls "Turkish" in English or "Turkçe" in his own language. Could that be "Dimli/Zazaki"? That user is apparently confused by thinking that these other Turkic languages (also spoken in Turkey) have their own separate language code (that he does not use in Wikipedia where he reads the Turkish version which is far more developed), or these are for regional variants still not encoded in ISO639.
I was about to remove translator rights from the user as a precaution, but I see they've not been active for several days and the only message on their talk page was yesterday, so this does not seem to require urgent actions from the admins.
I've left a note at Thread:User talk:SaldırganSincap/Discussion on your edits and I expect that you two can work together to solve the immediate issue in the next few days. portal talk:tr should then be used to have a discussion between translators on what conventions to follow.
ToprakM, "vandalism" is a serious accusation. Are you saying you're sure those edits were made in bad faith, with an intent to cause damage? Most of the recent edits seem to be updates of existing translations, with minor wiki syntax fixes and so on. I don't speak Turkish, so I could only rollback all such edits indiscriminately, which would be quite disruptive.
Considering that they corrupt proper translations for no reason, isn't it quite natural to assume it's vandalism? For example, Special:Diff/10700845 ,if you ask anyone who speaks Turkish, this sentence is incorrect.
Not quite. Judging from Thread:User talk:SaldırganSincap/Çeviri it seems more a misunderstanding. Maybe the meaning of the variables was unclear.
Judging by the translations and the reply in Turkish seems like translated by a tool or web kind from English (or may be another language). I can even say that person doesnt know/speak Turkish when i read the reply. Wrong usage of grammar and word choices makes it pretty clear (Ex: This sentence doesnt make much sense "Belki bunun bir hata yaptığımı varsayabilirim". "Herşeyden özür dilerim": "apologizing from everything" instead of "apologizing for everything" etc.). Variables, accents or regional dialects etc have nothing to do with these translations unfortunately as i see. We can assume good faith since user is kind, but that doesnt mean user is a good/Turkish translator.
