Feedback for translations search

I am a mediawiki contributor and currently I am preparing a proposal for improving translations search. It would be really helpful if you could give me your valuable feedback to improve search for translations [link]. Thank you for your time.

Thank you for your translation of Waymarked Trails to Simplified Chinese!

Thank you very much for your translation of Waymarked Trails! Your translation have long since been deployed, and you can see it in action on The only untranslated object that we know about is the update date formatting. It is relying on django, and if you'd like to have it localised as well you can take a look at the zh-cn and submit a pull request to the django project.

Is User:Hydriz your ID?

Bencmq12:44, 8 October 2011

Yes, why?

Please do not use machine translation for Chinese. Seeing those are frustrating. (e.g. Nuke -> 杜克鲁克)

您好,我看到您在 OpenStreetMap 中做了一些翻译,但似乎它们都是机器翻译的结果,请不要直接使用它们。另外,有部分的地理词汇目前还没有统一的中文名称,也请不要翻译它们。我已经开始纠正错误了,谢谢您的理解!

Hi Hydra, you have "translated" a lot of messages for 'en-gb'. This was wrong. Only special British wordings should be added in 'en-gb'. I have deleted all of them during my daily review and export to MediaWiki SVN.

Oh! Sorry! I mistook the page. I thought they needed translations. Thanks for your notification!

Translating offline

Hi Hydra. Welcome to! Please create a user page on which you describe which language(s) you will be working on. Before you can use Special:Translate, please request translator rights. You should also check the portal for your language, the link is in the sidebar. Other useful pages are linked in the menu that comes with this message.

Your translations are transferred to the standard product every few days or every few weeks depending on the product. Please notice that it may take longer before you see your translation in the actual product. It can be just a few days before they appear on Wikipedia, but a few months can pass between each new release of FreeCol.

We wish you a productive and pleasant stay. Please leave any questions on Support. Cheers!
