Nāhuatl es la referencia de una persona que habla náhuatl y no del idioma, pero nahuatlahtolli es el nombre nativo de la lengua o el idioma, son dos cosas distintas decir náhuatl o nahuatlahtolli (nahua-lengua), de igual forma que existe runa simi o aymar aru.
¡Hola Marrovi! Espero que estés bien. No sé exactamente cómo se puede cambiar el nombre del idioma, pero voy a preguntarle a mi colega Amir Aharoni, quien es uno de los expertos aquí. Una pregunta: ¿Has discutido este cambio con el resto de la comunidad de la Wikipedia en Nahuatl? Sé que a veces asuntos lingüísticos de este tipo pueden resultarse polémicos.
