I noticed that some of the messages on the Navajo Wikiibíídiiya are either not translated at all or have apparently been done by someone who did a quick-run through a dictionary w/o proper back-checking. On your en.wp user page you indicate a level 1 (basic) op Navajo. Are you certain you can properly contribute? I see you have been active for the past week on nv.wp making a lot of edits there. We usually encourage active non-native speakers to try and get native speakers, or at least speakers of the higher levels in, instead of editing themselves. Thanks. Nv-1 is in deference to the people who actually speak it. I have a few people to back-check with, they're just not too cool with going into the system and actually making the changes.  Done Leaving the Latin variant be for now: Though rarely written, Moroccan Arabic is currently undergoing an unexpected and pragmatic revival. It is now the preferred language in Moroccan chat rooms or for sending SMS, using Arabic Chat Alphabet composed of Latin letters supplemented with the numbers 2, 3, 5, 7 and 9 for coding specific Arabic sounds as is the case with other Arabic speakers. I agree that Arabic Chat Alphabet is the most used to write moroccan on the web nowadays, the arabic one to write poems, traditional music and theatre. But there is a real will to use real latin letters with diacritics to make the language more sirious (just like berbers made with their latin transcription) : ' instead of 2, ĝ instead of 3, ġ instead of gh, ċ instead of ch, ĥ instead of 5, ṣ instead of 6, h instead of 8, ḫ instead of 7, q instead of 9, ḍ for ض , ṫ for ت and t for ط . Another point is that there are so many people (Moroccans) all around the world who understand Moroccan Language but they unfortunately cannot read it because it's in arabic letters or because this mix of letters and numbers is incomprehensible or inappropriate, even indigestible... --Enzoreg 23:35, 11 September 2009 (UTC)

I Definitly agree, even if the arabic script has been traditionaly used for writing Moroccan Arabic, nowadays the latin (alphanumerical) script is widely used and has the huge advantage of being understandable to a wider range of population. A lot of native speakers of Moroccan Arabic live abroad, where born abroad, didn't receive any schooling in arabic and are therefore unable to understand the arabic script, while every moroccan schooled in morocco is more than familiar with the latin alphabet since french is a part of the official curriculum. Nervertheless the alphanumerical script lacks prestige, can be hard to read, lacks major distinctions like for exemple the distinction between d and it's emphatic (ḍ) and needs a little bit of standardization. This problems can easily be solved by introducing few diacritics and by setting some few rules. I vote for the creation of an ary-latin version along with the ary-arab.--Daoudata 04:13, 12 September 2009 (UTC)

Getting a localisation into a usable state is hard work. Getting two in a usable state from scratch is even harder. You guys appear to be having a good start, and it makes me happy to see that. I would like to see you make considerable progress on the one localisation ary for now, and once that appears to run well for a few months, please consider making the request for a split again. Request for translator rights denied based on the above opposition. However, I want to comment on the opposition here. Korean is ranked 21 on the list with the most spoken languages in the world. We have over 20 registered translators for it. South Korea has one of the largest broadband internet penetrations in the world. And still you (I am generalising) do not manage to completely translate whatever is to be translated here. If you, as the Korean translation community, ensure that your localisations are complete, you leave a lot less room for the lesser heroes to create more review work for you.

So please, put your efforts together and get those over eight thousand messages that still need translation into Korean translated.
