Hi Manik Soren. Welcome to translatewiki.net!

You can now start translating.

You should also check the portal for your language, the link is in the sidebar. Other useful pages are linked in the menu next to this message.

Your translations are transferred to the standard product every few days or every few weeks, depending on the product. Please notice that it may take longer before you see your translation in the actual product.

We wish you a productive and pleasant stay. Please leave any questions on Support (the link is also available on any page, in the navigation sidebar). Cheers!

Updating some translations

Hi,

Congratulations on having the Santali Wikipedia open!

A little request: I went over the existing translations to Santali. I found some that need updating, for several reasons:

  • They are completely untranslated and are written in English.
  • They are written in Santali, but in the Latin alphabet.
  • They are written partly in Santali and partly in English.
  • Some other reasons: they have wrong punctuation, they look too short or too long, etc.

I marked all of them as translations that need updating. Here's a link with the full list: https://translatewiki.net/wiki/Special:Translate?filter=fuzzy&action=translate&language=sat&group=mediawiki

If should take you just a short time to fix them, and the Santali Wikipedia's user interface will look nicer and more complete :)

IF you haven't already, take a look at the blog post that I wrote about tips for efficient translation: Amir Aharoni’s Quasi-Pro Tips for Translating the Software That Powers Wikipedia.

Thank you!
