http://translatewiki.net/wiki/Special:MainPage
Congratulations! This page looks good and does pretty well even on small laptops screens and in narrow windows.
Here are few observations that may warrant closer looks:
- There is a link: "Choose another language..." which does not do anything visible (Chrome, Opera, IE)
- There should be a way to localize the figures. "5.0k Translators" is not acceptable nor understood everywhere. "$1<br />Translators" plus, say a group of messages defining $1 in ranges such as 0...9999 and 10,0000...999,9999 and 1,000,000 upwards would inho do much better.
- http://translatewiki.net/wiki/Special:MainPage?uselang=nonsense displays nonsense in both the language selector near the top edge and as the preselected language name. This may be as intended, though.
- When you accidentally hit "Create account" before you entered anything, you get a local, untranslated message saying "failiure". That is pretty terse, but it should be translatable.
Thanks for the feedback. The page has known issues, hence we are not using it by default yet.
1. known
2. the "k" is localisable
3. doesn't seem a big issue
4. that's because the sandboxing feature is not yet enabled (nor ready). I have an open patch for core to add login function to javascript which allows better error handling.
Where do we localize the "k" ? (It may not be enough for all languages, but for "my" ones, it would likely suffice to replace it)
"k" is translatable as an optional message: MediaWiki:Twnmp-stats-number-k/ksh.
