Hi Eitvydas. Welcome to translatewiki.net!

You can now start translating.

You should also check the portal for your language, the link is in the sidebar. Other useful pages are linked in the menu next to this message.

Your translations are transferred to the standard product every few days or every few weeks, depending on the product. Please notice that it may take longer before you see your translation in the actual product.

We wish you a productive and pleasant stay. Please leave any questions on Support (the link is also available on any page, in the navigation sidebar). Cheers!

Machine translation

I have noticed some unreviewed machine translation. Example.

Please review machine translation suggestions carefully before saving a translation.

EOL plurals

Hi. Please read Plural#Plural_syntax_for_projects_using_the_rails-i18n_framework for correct plural syntax. Thanks.

It would be helpful if you could tell me what I did wrong. Did I accidentally translate the "one=" add on?

Hello

I'm checking that message, because some translations have translated "Notices" by "Messages" or "Posts".

I've used a translation engine to see if they were no other inaccurate translations and the translation in your language seems not to be accurate. I may be wrong if the tool I've used is wrong. Can you check it?

Thanks!

Trizek (WMF) (talk)15:37, 18 July 2016

The translation for Lithuanian is correct. The Lithuanian language is not as rich as the English language so a lot of different English words mean the same in Lithuanian.

Eitvys200 (talk)16:31, 18 July 2016

Thanks! :)

I was wondering if people were able to see the difference between "notices" (elements that are not as important as what is displayed on the "alerts" panel) and "messages" (group of text messages left on a talk page).

Wikidata:Menu Challenge

Hi!

I noticed your contributions here during the Translation Rally, well done! I wanted to let you know about another contest that Wikimedia Sverige is organizing on Wikidata.org. In this contest the aim is to translate words related to food so that we can create multilingual menus that we will use at a food fare in a week to show the value of Open Data. You can read all about it here. We would really appreciate having the menus in your language. Also, there are some handy instruction videos available if you haven't worked on Wikidata before.

Kind regards,

ContentTranslation

Hi!

Can you please help translating the ContentTranslation extension? We are enhancing its deployment to the Lithuanian Wikipedia, and I'd love it to be fully translated.

Thank you very much!

Your help is needed

Hi there :) I just want to let you know that your help would be appreciated to finish translations in Lithuanian for MediaWiki's VisualEditor software. The current progress is 35%, and VE will reach lt.wikipedia in a few weeks (Jan 13th). Also, if you feel like you want to walk an extra mile, please check if this language needs further help with the tasks listed at mw:VisualEditor/TranslationCentral#To_do. Thanks, and happy 2014!

Thank you from Blockly

THANK YOU for your work translating Blockly into Lithuanian. The translated puzzle has been up for a long time, and we hope to have all of Blockly available in Lithuanian someday.

We've added you to our list of contributors. Please let us know if you prefer to be credited in a different way.

Ellen Spertus (talk)03:45, 28 October 2013

That's awesome. :) Thank you for adding me to the list :)

Could you review a Lithuanian translation I imported?

Hi, I just imported a translation of Waymarked Trails to Lithuanian by a friend of mine, which included overwriting some of your translations to make the whole translation consistent. Most of the overwriting I've made fuzzy, so it need to be reviewed before it will be used. I also deleted the "Tags" translation because it is OpenStreetMap terminology that you often should not translate.

I'd be very grateful if you could review the translation. It is still not 100 %, but will probably pass 75 % (and thus be included on waymarkedtrails.org) if the fuzzied messages are cleared.
