This message is not for categories. In its context, what you said is the parent of mine if I replied to yours.

Please try to know how a message is used before writing a translation.

"wiki set"

Please do not translate "wiki set" into "維基設定" (in MediaWiki:Centralauth-editset-success-delete/zh-hant and I tagged it as fuzzy), which means "a group of wikis" here. Have a look at your contributions and correct them. Also please tag the corresponding zh-hans pages as fuzzy, so my bot will update them according to zh-hant pages.

Thank you for you comment.

If a message is tagged as fuzzy, it means the message, for example, MediaWiki:Prefswitch-main/zh-hant, is not complete, roughly translated, or out-of-date. Please do not remove the tag until you completely cleaned the message according to source language and made it ready for use.

Fallbacks in Chinese languages: not everything has to be translated.

Hi. Please mind that not all Chinese variants have to be translated. If the translation would be equal to that in the fallback language, please do not translate it.

  • zh-tw falls back to zh-hant
  • zh-cn falls back to zh-hans
  • zh-hk falls back to zh-hant
  • zh falls back zo zh-hans

Usually only zh-hans and zh-hant have to be completed. Saves you a lot of work. Best advice: get Traditional and Simplified complete first, then update in the other codes what differs.

Translate request by Chinese Wikipedia(n), per wikipedia:zh:WP:VPM

Horacewai200:30, 16 May 2010

Please elaborate on the technical background. Why is there a *need* to have the localisations translated that fall back to an identical translation?

Translating offline

Hi Horacewai2. Welcome to! Please create a user page on which you describe which language(s) you will be working on. Before you can use Special:Translate, please request translator rights. You should also check the portal for your language, the link is in the sidebar. Other useful pages are linked in the menu that comes with this message.

Your translations are transferred to the standard product every few days or every few weeks depending on the product. Please notice that it may take longer before you see your translation in the actual product. It can be just a few days before they appear on Wikipedia, but a few months can pass between each new release of FreeCol.

We wish you a productive and pleasant stay. Please leave any questions on Support. Cheers!
