Puisque tu es le premier à avoir établi le contact dans ma langue maternelle et que tu sembles maîtriser les rouages des différentes plateformes MediaWiki (si ! si !) je m'adresse à toi pour préciser comment se traduit upload sur les différents projets ? Où préciser les conventions ? Merci de me répondre ici (Translatewiki) et/ou plutôt sur wp:fr sous le nom BonifaceFR.

Je ne maîtrise pas tant que cela les rouages des différentes plateformes MediaWiki. En général, je m’abstiens de modifier moi-même le message et je contacte le contributeur concerné pour qu’il le fasse lui-même (un peu comme le message que je t’ai laissé). Il est difficile de savoir si une modification est légitime ou non. Pire une modification légitime dans l’absolu ne l’est pas forcément dans le contexte Mediawiki.

Pour le cas d’upload typiquement, cela a fait couler beaucoup d’octets sur différentes pages. Tout les projets ne sont d’ailleurs pas forcément d’accord entre eux. Dans le cas de Wlmmobile, il ne s’agit pas d’un projet mais d’une application donc on a plus de lattitude. Ceci dit, il faut garder une certaine cohérence. Dans la même application, Template:U a utilisé le terme « envoi/envoyer » (Wikimedia:Wlmmobile-cancel-upload/fr, Wikimedia:Wlmmobile-confirm-license-upload/fr, Wikimedia:Wlmmobile-start-upload/fr). Ce qui a l’avantage d’éviter la question télécharger/téléverser et d’être un mot court (ce qui est utile pour une application mobile). Comme je le disais, je te conseille de voir avec lui.

Il n’existe pas de page de convention à ma connaissance et comme je le disais cela peut varier selon le contexte. A minima, il existe Portal talk:Fr mais elle n’est pas très utilisée…
