"Verbiage"

Hi, can you explain this term at Thread:Support/About_MediaWiki:Apihelp-zeroconfig-example-2/ksh or in the docs? Thanks.

Nemo (talk)10:25, 14 May 2015

Sure. In the web version of Wikipedia Zero, we usually refer to the banner at the top of the screen for Wikipedia Zero users as the "banner text" - for example, it may say something like "Free Wikipedia from Acme Operator".

When this zerconfig API endpoint is invoked with the 'message' parameter, the client is asking for this banner text, typically to be displayed in an app like the "Wikipedia Mobile" app for iOS, the "Wikipedia" app for Android, the "Wikipedia" app for Firefox OS, or some other modality.

Does that make sense?
