Désuet et obsolète ont le même sens, mais obsolète est un calque de l’anglais obsolete qui était rare il y a plusieurs décennies de cela. Ce n’est pas exactement un anglicisme, mais pas loin. Désuet doit lui être préféré.

Utiliser un autre terme est imprécis dans ce contexte.
