Look at something, such as a page, a file, a table, etc. Often contrasted with edit: for example, regular users can only view protected pages, but administrators can edit them.

Editing while seeing the page similarly to how it's rendered to users: with images, headings, etc., and without seeing wiki syntax. This is similar to using a word processor, like Microsoft Word, Google Docs, or LibreOffice, and also known by the jargon term "WYSIWYG" ("what you see is what you get").
